AOL Terminates AIM Call Out VIP Service

written by Admin

AIM Call Out service is a VoIP service offered by AOL and is not
really popular because it was used by a very small number of people.
The company is closing down and the will finally shut down their
service on 25th March 2009. Though Aim Call out has sent email to all
their users about their VoIP service termination, but this post is to
make all the users aware if they missed the mail.
This is an excerpt from a mail sent to a customer “We’re writing to
let you know that the AIM Call Out service will close on March 25,
2009, and as of that date you will no longer be able to make calls
with the service. To help prepare for this transition, as of today you
will no longer be able to add credit to your account. We hope this
does not cause an inconvenience.
It’s never an easy decision to shut down a service like AIM Call Out,
but we are looking carefully at all our features to ensure we’re
providing maximum value to users.
For more information, please see our AIM Call Out Help page. Again, we
hope this does not cause an inconvenience, and we thank you for being
an AIM Call Out customer.”
If you have any balance remaining with Aim-Call-Out then its better to
use this money as soon as possible (just use them up). Let’s hope
Aimcallout will refund users money after 25th march however it may
take time so its better to use your remaining voip credit.
